This Varun Sandesh film simply fails to take off. It is filled with crudity
and reflects a pathological syndrome of dealing with women as sex dolls and
throwing up people with a huge disorder. Well after portraying the gender in
poor light we have a final explanation for the hero’s behaviour but certainly
not for what the director does. The manner in which women are portrayed as near
nymphomaniacs is nauseating and reflects how a sickening mind set encouraged in
the name of entertainment truly reflects poorly on the mind that makes a tale
of this kind.
The film was marketed (read assigned) to me as one that would make me feel
young and nostalgic of my youthful days in college. My source either has a very
poor opinion about my college days or found no better way to get me to see this
absurd indulgence. Even the pre film ads on refined oil, washing soap, toilet
cleaners, faucet liquids are more engaging!!
The film is so dated that the Director is stuck with ‘chicklet’ days of romance
though he hopelessly attempts to update it with a reference to a Barista invite.
It is sociologically loathsome that a whole population of gals and this guy
think only of sex as a four letter word .
Santosh (Varun Sandesh) the central character believes that the only task is to
woo and bed women. He does it full-time and his mother places the blame on his
Dad Doc (Suman) who she describes as “Sex Doctor” meaning Andrologist. The
script dedicates reels to establish his character and yet falls well short of
making him a credible persona. He is wooing gals of all kinds and in minutes is
familiar enough with them to be in bed. He runs into Gita (Nisha Agarwal) who
takes him hands on and decides to get his mindset corrected. Reals go by and
the hours tick and she is still at it. She challenges him with various tests
and the man is willing to be tested even before he has acknowledged that this
time over he is smitten. If this tale is not stale and sickening enough and
totally lacking in credibility, we now move on to a scenario where Santosh
walks into a Psychiatry ward with doctors looking like they too need attention
and is among the inmates for cure from Dr. Anjali who is none other than Gita
who hitherto had gone on the Cure Santosh Project and had used the entire
medical and para medical staff of her college on this project. Finally as in
the very beginning you of course have guessed that the guy and gal will surely
make it together.
The film revolves around Varun Sandesh who simply lacks the persona to take the
load of a faulty script a pale tale and an unhealthy mind set ahead. Poor salesmanship.
Poor Product.
